About this Wine

This traditional Slovenian Malvazija is crisp and enjoyable. A dry wine with many sweet hints of Honey and Pear. We enjoyed this wine as our aperitif wine for guests this summer. It is great by itself or enjoy with any preparation of seafood you like.

Slastno is Slovenian for Delicious and it is a perfect description for this wine. A perfect example of precision in white wines that Slovenia is known for. I discovered this wine when I met Peter at an organic wine show. Peter produces some of the most interesting wines I have ever tasted using techniques from the beginning of winemaking in Slovenia thousands of years ago. He is using this knowledge to also create approachable modern wines like Slastno.

Location, Location, Location

Slovenia is located in the Northeast corner of the Adriatic Sea across from Venice and a short walk from their vineyards to the Pinot Grigio vineyards of Italy, it is no surprise that they have excellent white wine.
