100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep red with ripe plums and full tannins on the palate and hints of Black Pepper and Bell Pepper on the nose. This Cabernet Sauvignon is full and rich and has a pleasant persistent finish. It will pair well with a Roast, Grilled Meats or Meat Lovers' Pizza.
While on a shopping mission for my wife in Toledo, Spain looking for knives, I was introduced to this wine. The winemaker and I were having lunch and he brought this along as a barrel sample to show me the new vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon. I can't say I am surprised by the wine, I have come to know that this is what to expect from this winemaker. While rounding out this box with different Cabernet Sauvignons, I knew this had to be part of it. It is an excellent representation of Cabernet Sauvignon from the heart of Spain.
Toledo was once the capital of Visigoth Kingdom for almost 200 years and is known as the city of three cultures due to the influence of Christian, Muslims and Jews. They at one time excelled in silk manufacturing, though this ended by the 19th century. Now they are known for the knife making and a walk through this Medieval City has many knife shops where you can buy a simple pocket knife, Damascus Steel or... Steak Knives.
